This original A4 oil pastel painting (21 × 29.7 cm) is part of my 365-day daily painting project, created in Lisbon, Portugal. The composition captures a loose bouquet of blue flowers arranged in a glass jar, drawn through instinctive lines, layered pastel marks, and expressive color movement rather than precise detail. Soft blues, lavender, green, and wine-red tones blend into each other, creating a delicate balance between fragility, spontaneity, and emotional intensity.
The artwork moves between floral still life and contemporary expressionism, allowing texture, gesture, and raw mark-making to remain visible in every part of the composition. Oil pastels create a tactile, immediate quality that preserves the energy of the drawing process itself. This is a one-of-a-kind original artwork on paper, signed and created as part of an ongoing daily practice focused on intuition, color, and emotional response. It works beautifully as an intimate accent piece in contemporary, eclectic, or minimalist interiors, especially for collectors drawn to expressive floral art and modern pastel paintings.
